Bronze and Silver Awards -- The National Junior Recognition Program provides an
opportunity for young Angus breeders to become nationally recognized for continued achievement.
This program is based on activities over a Junior member's entire career. There are three levels
of recognition; Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Bronze and Silver Awards can be earned at any age.
The Gold Award, however, will be given only during the last year of eligibility as a
junior member. Winners of the various levels receive a specially designed pin, cast in
the metal of the respective award (Bronze, Silver, or Gold). Recipients of the National Junior
Recognition Program Awards also receive local, regional, and national recognition through media
and at Angus functions. (See the actual application form for more information.)

the American Angus Association. In 1985, the NJAA board of directors honored seven Angus breeders
as the first inductees of the Honorary Angus Foundation. In subsequent years, a maximum of three
inductees will be honored annually. Any member of the American Angus Association is eligible to
nominate individuals or organizations for the Honorary Angus Foundation.
