The National Junior Angus Association has completed its first year of four regional Raising the Bar state officer trainings. |
| Raising the Bar - Midwest was held October 12-14 at the American Angus Association ® in St. Joseph, MO. | |
| Raising the Bar - East was held in Wooster, Ohio at Certified Angus Beef, LLC, November 2-4. | |
| Raising the Bar - West was held April 11-13 in Boise, Id. | |
| Raising the Bar - South was held April 18-20 in Baton Rouge, LA. |

Attendees at these officer trainings participated in workshops, team building activities or a ropes course, bowling, scavenger hunt, and tours of American Angus Association ® and Angus Productions, Inc. or Certified Angus Beef, LLC. Raising the Bar - Midwest (photos) Raising the Bar - East (photos) Raising the Bar - West (photos) Raising the Bar - South (photos) Raising the Bar is a highly intensive officer training for officers to build stronger teams within their junior associations and develop and utilize regional relationships. Raising the Bar is open to five state officers and two state advisors from each state in that region. The entry fee is only $25 for entrant. Please click here for your region. The workshops covered at each Raising the Bar are topics such as the secrets of the American Angus Association, fundraising and budgets, membership, public speaking, scholarships and awards, and parliamentary procedure. Attendees participate in activities such as a ropes course (or similar team building activities), a devotional, and a social event. |
